Grace and Mercy New Everyday

HI · June 16, 2025 ·

One habit that I am trying to be more consistent in practicing is gratitude. I find that on mornings I take the time to genuinely think about all I have to be grateful for, I see how blessed I really am. It always starts with the people I love and material things like a comfy home and food on the table, but it inevitably ends with sincere gratitude for the gift of salvation and that His grace and mercies are new each day.

As the years go by, I realize more and more what a flawed and in-need-of-a-savior person I am. I miss the mark every. single. day. And every day, God loves me just the same, no more no less, and encourages me to get back up and try again. His grace and mercy is truly the most precious gift I have received, and I continue to gain deeper revelation of that as time passes. I am so glad that I do not get what I deserve (mercy), but instead, am given more than I could ever deserve (grace).

A picture of 3 crosses in front of a sunset. A reminder that God's grace and mercy is new everyday.

And the best part, God’s grace and mercy never runs out. It is new each day. His love and kindness towards us is truly incomprehensible.

So on those days when you feel like you’re totally missing the mark as a mom, wife, homemaker, friend, fill in the blank with whatever the shortcoming is, remember that He’s got you. That He will never leave you nor forsake you. Admit your struggle to Him and ask for His help to walk through it. He wants to see you walk in grace and truth.

We are all flawed, friend. We all have our struggles, our hardships, our not-so-great tendencies. Every day, every moment, is an opportunity to try again. To be more like Jesus. We don’t have to wait. And we don’t have to beat ourselves up for our shortcomings. His grace and mercy is available every moment of every day.

I don’t know about you, but that is something I will never stop being grateful for.

A Final Prayer of Gratitude

Thank you, Jesus, for your gift of salvation. Thank you that your grace and mercy is new each day. Help me to walk in the revelation of this precious gift. In Jesus name, amen.
